AJet, Türkiye’s affordable airline, serves more than 100 destinations across Europe, the Middle East and beyond. Following its rebrand in 2024, the airline sought to build awareness and inspire wanderlust among younger travellers. In a crowded and highly competitive market, AJet turned to Snap to help bring its new brand story to life.
Traveling the World – via AR
To engage younger audiences, AJet launched a multi-product Snapchat campaign using Augmented Reality Lens and Video Ads. By combining these formats, the brand could deliver immersive interaction while scaling visibility, connecting travelers throughout the funnel.
The brand’s ads tapped into well-known frustrations associated with the daily grind – think muggy cars, disruptive roadworks and traffic jams – before reminding Snapchatters the world is full of blissful locations made accessible by AJet.
Then, using AR, AJet gamified the travel experience for its target audience. By opening and closing their mouths, Snapchatters could choose between on-screen symbols – from bicycles to palm trees – which would help determine the destination they should explore with AJet.
Lift (Off) with Snapchat
AJet’s Snapchat campaign was a clear success, with ad awareness and brand favorability soaring by four points and six points, respectively. Further to this, the AR Lens drove 50% incremental reach for the Turkish brand, which proved the importance of including immersive formats when engaging wider audiences 1.
