Eager to reach millions in a meaningful way, Faces, Chalhoub Group's omni-channel beauty retailer launched an AR Filter on Snapchat to celebrate Saudi National Day in September 2024. Not only did this allow the omni-retailer to share in their consumers’ national pride, it also showcased the power of AR in brand-consumer relations.

Faces opted for a multi-format campaign, leveraging both AR and Video Ads to reach its target market. Placing consumers at the centre of its campaign, the brand empowered Snapchatters to share selfies accompanied by Saudi National Day greetings – a move which simultaneously promoted the brand. Further to this, Faces expertly showcased its product range as part of the country’s celebrations by perfectly aligning its messaging with the spirit of the national day.
In a Campaign that Broke Benchmarks
Faces’ Snapchat campaign was exceptionally successful. The brand’s AR Filter activation reached 4.9M Snapchatters in Saudi, 70% of which was earned leading to a very effective CPM of $0.90. It also experienced a surge in brand metrics, recording a 9pp increase in Brand Favorability and a 8pp in Action Intent. Furthermore, Faces achieved a 1.54% share rate, exceeding the benchmarks for all AR in KSA in September by 5X!
