The Story

Floward, a flowers and gifts app, wanted to inspire Snapchatters in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain to buy and exchange Valentine's day flower arrangements. They teamed up with Snapchat, being the leader in AR and the biggest platform in KSA, to create a playful AR experience to drive mass awareness and engagement.

The Solution

Snapchat developed a playful AR World & Face Lens experience that allowed Snapchatters to try on the famous Flower Crown Lens customised for Floward and also created a colourful flower arrangement to share with the loved ones. The AR Lens ran as National Takeover across Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain on Valentine’s day.

The campaign was complemented with a Reach & Frequency campaign alongside a Story Ad and Snap Ad to boost engagement and drive orders.

The Results

The National Lens takeover was a great success across the gulf region with over +12M total impressions. In 24-hours the Valentine’s AR Lens drove +130K shares and showcased +15s lens playtime.1
