BetterMe is an app that helps women lose weight through changes in physical activity, food intake, and emotional habits. The app was launched in September 2017 as a challenge for users to change to a healthier lifestyle in 28 days. BetterMe came to Snapchat not only to find new and highly engaged audience, but also to run campaigns that would would lower CPI (cost per install) and decrease CPP (cost per purchase).
Using the Snapchat Ads Manager tool, BetterMe launched their first App Install campaign on the platform. Within the first month, Snapchat jumped up to second place among all traffic sources, with the highest conversion rate from install to purchase. To build on their momentum, BetterMe then teamed up with one of Snapchat’s certified partners, Aitarget, in order to hit a number lower than their CPI goal. For their Snap Ads, BetterMe chose a funky and bold creative strategy by combining neon colors and effective weight loss exercises in order to catch the attention of Snapchat’s unique audience.
After reviewing the results of the campaign, BetterMe found that traffic for the app had doubled and cost per purchase had decreased by 30%. Additionally, conversion from install to purchase increased by 30%. Snapchats effective performance marketing solutions helped BetterMe become a Top 4 app in the Health & Fitness category in United States.
