Bouygues Telecom
Bouygues Telecom stores were displayed more than 73 million times in less than three weeks on Snap Map when the French telco company used the feature to promote a new contest and support an ongoing goal to drive in-store traffic.
Connecting with Consumers
Snapchat has been keeping Bouygues Telecom connected to its customers since 2019. As part of its ongoing omnichannel strategy, the French company has used Snapchat to drive in-store traffic. Recently, when the brand wanted to promote a contest in response to the phase out of ADSL, it leveraged Snapchat’s innovative capabilities even further to reach all genders aged between 30 and 55.
A Promoted Places Pioneer
Every month, more than 450 million Snapchatters use Snap Map 2. Capitalising on its popularity, Bouygues Telecom became the first telco player in France to leverage a Snap Map feature: Promoted Places.
Appearing on Snap Map as sponsored ad pins, Promoted Places allowed Bouygues Telecom to highlight its location using a 3D gift-shaped pin in its brand colours. By tapping a pin, the Snapchatter could then see the store’s address, opening hours, and any links to the brand’s integrated apps or websites.
Bouygues Telecom complemented this approach with a video series promoting the chance to win a fiber plan for free for one year, which worked to boost the visibility of the campaign. The brand’s approach, developed in partnership with its agency Tigrz, further strengthened its existing drive-to-store strategy on Snapchat.
Seeing Success with Sponsored Pins
Bouygues Telecom's campaign delivered on two fronts: it promoted the brand’s contest while simultaneously driving in-store visits. In just three weeks, its stores were displayed more than 73 million times on Snap Map while driving engagement at a highly competitive cost – €0.12 cost per store card open.
More specifically, the campaign proved its ability to generate physical visits efficiently, with a cost per visit of just €0.92 1. Overall, Bouygues Telecom’s Snapchat campaign expertly addressed its goals around visibility, engagement, and in-store traffic.
