Create your Snapchat business account

1. Set up your personal account
To start advertising with Snapchat, you'll first need a personal Snapchat account. Set up an account online or from your phone using these directions.
2. Create your business account
Use your username and password to create a business account by logging into Ads Manager, Snapchat’s self-serve advertising tool where you can create and buy ads on Snapchat.
3. Create your first campaign
Once your business account has been created, you will be prompted to create your first Snapchat Ad within Ads Manager.
4. Download the Snapchat App
Don't forget to download Snapchat for iOS or download Snapchat for Android!

Set up your Promote Local Place campaign and claim your ad credit!

1. Sign in
Login to Ads Manager with your business account details, select Create an Ad, select Instant Create, and then select Promote Local Place.
2. Claim your business
Enter the business name in the search bar and select your location once it appears.
3. Claim your offer
If you’re eligible for an ad credit, you’ll receive a notification here! Select “Get it Now” and continue with your campaign set up. The coupon will automatically apply once you arrive at the payment details section.
4. Verify your details
After selecting your business, verify that the pre-populated details are correct and click “Next”. Any manual changes made to this information will be reviewed by our moderation team and may take up to two days to appear on your Place Listing. You can still move forward with creating your ad in the meantime!
5. Input a headline, and design your ad
Create your ad by using images automatically imported from your website, from your Creative Library, or uploaded manually. If uploading a Single Image or Video Ad manually that doesn’t meet our specifications, you can crop or choose to use a template. Once done, click “Next”.
6. Customize your targeting
Determine the radius from your business address you’d like to target, and watch the audience size change within the Audience Overview section on the right of the screen. The larger the radius, the more potential customers you will be targeting. Snapchat will automatically target users frequently in the area of your business, or those that have been in or near your location before.
  • Click ‘Show Advanced Targeting’ to select additional targeting options including interests, custom audiences, and devices.
7. Determine the budget and duration of your campaign
If this is your first campaign, enter your payment method which is required even if you receive an ad coupon! If it’s not your first campaign, select an existing payment method. If you’ve received an ad credit, it will auto apply now.
