Nisnass partnered with Snapchat for the Nisnass Crew campaign utilizing augmented reality and performance formats to deliver both brand resonance and sales on Black Friday.Following the brand launch in early 2018, Nisnass sought to increase brand awareness and drive efficient growth in a highly competitive key sales period. With ambitious commercial targets, the brand needed a strategy to introduce the brand to new users and build relationships with consumers at scale, which, in the traditional e-commerce world, is highly transactional and can be a challenge to achieve through automated marketing.
The Solution: AR Lens, Snap Ads, Story Ads
In addition to their always-on customer acquisition and purchase campaigns, Nisnass utilized Snapchat’s augmented reality Lens format with an app install call-to-action to bring the Nisnass Crew concept to life and allow users to ‘join the crew’. By creating an immersive experience which placed customers in the center of the action, leveraging scenes from the video ads, the brand was able to holistically integrate the campaign narrative. Snap Ads were used to first build brand awareness through a variety of creative styles (5-second video, GIFs, and cinemagraphs), swiping up to install the app or deep-linking into specific sections of the app relevant to targeting. Story Ads were leveraged to position Nisnass as a storyteller amongst our premium publishers in the Discover section. Each Story Ad built on the Nisnass Crew campaign messaging and pushed the brand’s proposition, while swiping up to install the app.
Snapchat’s partnership with Nisnass enriched advertising formats and placements providing great impact in ad solutions to the brand. Through the combination of AR Lens, Snap Ads, and Story Ads — Nisnass was able to achieve a 40% increase in profitability in overall ROI and 2.8x effectiveness in app install call-to-action, a 95% increase in cost per order efficiency and 2x increased retention in daily monthly active users and a 7 point increase in brand awareness lift in Saudi Arabia.
